Cooking is our boss’ business! Your landlord, Alexander, himself stirs in the pots at Edelweiss Berggasthof. Fresh meals everyday with the best regional ingredients from the Salzkammergut entice our guests … and there are many who come again, or a third time, or a fourth…

Dining for gourmets
Our menu will greet you with traditional dishes such as Kaiserschmarrn (sweet omelette), Schweinsbratl (roast pork) and lentil stew, but also specialties such as roast chamois from the local hunters or fresh fish from Lake Traunsee. Meat lovers as well as vegetarians will definitely get their money’s worth here on the Feuerkogel in Ebensee.
Regional products are particularly close to our hearts, and we get them from our long-standing trusted suppliers. Wherever possible we choose organic products. Experience the taste of Austria and of Austria’s alpine pastures – prepared with much skill and served with a smile.
In vino veritas
Even when it comes to wines we prefer regional ones. Why buy from abroad when excellent wines are produced in our own country? Styria, Burgenland, Lower Austria and Vienna have excellent wine-growing regions producing great bottles that also find their way to the wine cellar at Hotel Edelweiss, 1,600 metres above sea level – of course strictly selected and tasted by the host and sommelier Alexander Neubacher. We will be happy to let you try some of our treasures during a wine tasting (for groups of at least 6 persons).
